Cippy is my first Bearded Collie, she was born on November 27, 1999. Cippy was the most active puppy in the litter, she was always in front with everything and always on the move and playing. Cippy grew up to be a very bouncy beardie (probably a bit because of me). Cippy and I have done agility for a long time, wich we both enjoyed very much, but we had to give this up as we were missing too many lessons when Cippy was having her season and when we had a litter. Before Cippy and I started with agility lessons, we did obedience but this was nothing for us because we had to stay so calm. Cippy and I both like a bit more action! Between obedience and agility we did some showing because I wanted Cippy to have a litter. In the beginning the showing went fine, but the older Cippy got the more jumpy she behaved at shows. Because Cippy isn't the show-type beardie anyway, and because she already had her breeding qualifications, we decided (after about 30 shows) to stop showing. Cippy is still being shown very rarely. She has a very outgoing and self confident character, she is the boss over all our other beardies and decides what they can and cannot do. When I take the group outside for a walk Cippy always stays close to me and warns me when there is a car coming or when there are other people near... she keeps everything under control! Something I like very much about Cippy is that she always gives everything of herself when you're doing something with her, agilty or obedience, anything! Cippy is a very active beardie who loves to work for her master, and behaves very wel... as long as you don't expect her to sit still all day! Cippy had 2 litters of wonderful pups, with the same lively and happy characters that she has herself. She is now enjoying her retirement here, still bouncy and happy and keeping the other dogs in line! Now that she is nearing her 12th birthday we notice that she has slowed down a lot and her hearing and eye sight are not as good as they used to be. However, she still loves to play and will not pass an opportunity to bark at cyclists or chase the cats, but she does sleep more then she used to. We are pleased that she is still in good health and hope she will continue like this for many years to come!
