Pluuster Bear's Dreaming Dexter

HD:A

In memory of Dexter  (05-02-2001~13-04-2008)

Not planned but very much wanted we picked up Dexter from his breeder when he was 8 weeks. Right from the start we were very close, and he soon got the nickname "Baby" or  "Babe" which eventually we used more than his first name Dexter.  Dexter was always with me where ever I went, always lying at my feet. He loved his obedience classes, and was always best in his class.  He loved visitors and attention, was an eye catcher in the show ring and has charmed many people. He had a love for squeaky toys, which could be annoying from time to time when trying to have a conversation over the squeak -squeak - squeak from Dexter and one of his toys, but most of all a very funny hobby of his. We used to bring him a toy from every dogshow we went to, and he was always so grateful for it. On walks Dexter was rarely seen without a big log in his mouth, or indeed half a tree... the bigger the branch the better and his happiness would radiate from his whole being.

His favourite treat was bread, and he also loved cheese, he didn't like anything that smelled too strong, he pulled a very dirty face when you would offer him bacon or tripe. Dexter's son Elmo has inherited his strange taste in food, though Elmo is less picky than Dexter was. Dexter had the best of characters, not scared of a thing, very self secure and always in for a game.

Dexter was a very special dog, we miss him greatly and are very sad we lost him at such a young age. We are grateful for the time we have had with him and for all he has given us.
