Maggie is my third Bearded Collie, she was born on June 5 2002.
Maggie was bred in Germany. I met her breeder, Amy Rodenburg, a
few years before at a show. Maggie is the
first beardie I bought for showing and breeding, so it was the
first time for me to select a puppy on beauty, I chose Cippy
because she was the most active puppy in the litter, and I
thought she was funny. Dexter was the only puppy left to be sold,
and he happened to be the most calm one in his litter. When
Maggie was 9 weeks, we started puppy training, we did this quite
well. After the puppy training we started puppy agility. This is
really fun to do, although you're very limited in what you can
do with your puppy. Next to this I have practised showing with
Maggie from the moment I got her, everyday we practised for
about 5 minutes. And Maggie learnt very quickly everything about
showing. In Januari 2004 we started agility, although we missed
a lot of lessons in the beginning because of Cippy her litter,
Maggie learned everything very fast. Maggie really loves agility
and I do to, so we are both very sorry we had to give it up
because we were missing too many lessons. We hope to start
agility again when we have a bit more time.
Maggie has a very outgoing and friendly character, she just
loves people and wants to be cuddled all the time! She could lie
on your lap all day long! But she's also always in front when
we're going for a walk, her favourite activity outside is to run
very fast and try to get the other dogs to go after her. Dexter
sometimes goes after her, but when he has almost caught up with
her, Maggie makes an 180 degrees turn and Dexter will give up
chasing her. Now we have more beardies, Maggie doesn't have to
try and get Dexter to chase her anymore, she can also race with
the other beardies. Maggie is mother of three litters, she is a
wonderful mother who gives beautiful puppies with great
characters.
